Barnsley Hockey Club cemented their lead at the top of the Yorkshire Peak and Wold Division One with an 8-1 thrashing over Lindum.

Seb Carter gave them an early lead from Connor Massey’s assist.

James Shaw converted from a short corner to double their advantage.

Shaw then turned provider with Tim Lloyd finishing off a move clinically.

Carter got his second before half-time from Paul Winstanley’s pass.

Dave Wright then got in on the act to make it five.

Carter completed his hat-trick before Kieran Ryan lashed in from close-range.

Bryce Tuckett made it eight with an instinctive rebound finish before a late consolation.

Barnsley return to action on December 2 away at Brigg.
