THE hotel group which owned Ardsley House has been bought out after it went into administration.

Birmingham-based Forestdale Hotels Limited, which owned the hotel on Barnsley Road in Ardsley and a number of subsidiary companies, went into administration earlier this month.

The company has since been bought by London-based St James's Hotel Properties Ltd, preserving 550 jobs across a number of hotels throughout the UK.

Business restructuring partners BDO LLP was appointed administrator of Forestdale, which comprised of eight smaller companies, and secured its sale.

Kim Rayment, BDO business restructuring partner, said: "We are pleased to have concluded the sale of the majority of the business and assets of the group, preserving more than 550 hotel jobs. The sale was the best option to secure the future of the business, enabling it to move forward confidently and on a secure financial footing."
