LAURA Kaye has gone through 16 years of school, college and university without taking a single day off.

The 21-year-old art and design graduate started at the nursery at Churchfield Primary school in Cudworth and went through to the end of year six as a primary pupil without taking off a single day because of illness.

She was given the Barnsley Council ambassador award for her 100 per cent attendance record.

Then she moved up to Willowgarth High school where for the next five years she again recorded an impressive 100 per cent attendance.

There followed two years at Barnsley College, then three years at the University of Huddersfield, and again never one day's sick leave.

Laura, who admits she also hates being late for anything, added: "There is one thing about it - I can certainly put on my CV that I am a prompt, conscientious and reliable person."
