A BARNSLEY pub is set to reopen with a new look - and an old name.

The pub in Park Road, Worsbrough Bridge - formerly known as the Olive Branch and before that the Button Mill - is to reopen under a sign carrying the original name, The Red Lion.

A major refurbishment is currently underway with the opening due in a few weeks.

The work is being carried out by Simon Markham, from Barnsley, and Andrew Reynolds, a Sheffielder.

Together they make up Rey Mark Inns and currently run the Junction Bar and Bistro in Wath Road, Wombwell, as well as a number of other establishments in the Yorkshire and Humberside area.

It aims to be open by July 18.
