WOMBWELL BMX racer, Arthur Herrington, is off to his second world championship in Rotterdam - aged just seven.

Despite his tender years, the youngster is already a seasoned racer and got his first BMX bike when he was three.

Mum Natasha, 27, of Kingfisher Drive, said his dream is to become an elite racer, the highest BMX racer category, when he turns 18."He is a born natural but he also trains very hard.

Arthur placed 21st at the International Union of Cyclists BMX World Championship in May 2012 but missed last year's competition in New Zealand because it was so far away.

Racing seems to be in the genes with Natasha and dad, Arthur, 31, motocross and downhill racers.

Arthur junior will also compete at the European Championships in Denmark on July 10-13. He qualified third in the country after ten regional and ten national races.
