A CHARITY fund-raiser is appealing for the return of his lost phone - so he can keep people posted on his progress and continue raising money.

Billy Marsden is raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust by growing his hair and beard for one year.

The 18-year-old A level student shaved off all the hair on his head and chin on January 1. He is not going to cut or trim it until New Year's Day 2015 and admits he has no idea just how long it will get.

To ensure maximum fund-raising, Billy uploads a picture to Instagram, facebook and twitter every single day to keep his supporters and followers updated on the progress of his hair and beard.

All was going well until Sunday when Billy, from Jackson Street, Cudworth, dropped his phone near the Lamproom theatre. As soon as he realised he retraced his steps along Westgate, but the black iphone 5 could not be found.

Later checks revealed it was still turned on and receiving text messages.
