MEMBERS of Barnsley Youth Choir will find out tonight whether they have been successful in the World Choir Games in Latvia.

The children, who travelled from Barnsley to Riga early on Tuesday, have competed with choirs from all over the world, with the results out tonight.

Highlights of the trip so far have included a parade of more than 400 choirs in the old town square, with BYC being the only choir to represent Great Britain.

Head of BYC Mat Wright said: "I'm really proud of all the group, they conducted themselves in an amazing way, and behaved brilliantly.

"The World Choir Games is the largest competition of this kind, but I never expected crowds as big as this, It's a brilliant experience for all the kids."
