A CYCLIST knocked off his bike by a car at a junction is offering a reward for witnesses after the driver left without giving his details.

Martin Roberts, 58, of Huddersfield Road, Darton, was cycling along Hudderfield Road towards Darton at about 10.15pm on Wednesday May 14, when a car coming down Churchfield Lane from Kexborough came out of the T junction and hit him broadside, throwing him from the bike.

Martin said he was 'dazed and confused' as well as badly bruised following the smash when the driver told him he would report the incident to police himself, before making off.

The car was a dark grey Seat Leon, and the registration began with a Y and ended with either a VK or KV.
