Barnsley's remarkable recovery under David Flitcroft continued on Tuesday night with a 2-0 win over Millwall.

Chris Dagnall made it four goals in as many games on 57 minutes then new signing Jason Scotland doubled the lead minutes after making his Reds debut as a substitute.

Defeat for Barnsley would have left them seven points adrift of safety in the Championship but instead they registered a third successive home win.

Both sides struggled to get going at first in rainy conditions but Barnsley played the better football in the first half although Millwall had the only real chance when Andy Keogh fired over on the volley from seven yards out.

After the break, the Reds were more clinical and went ahead through a good finish by the in-form Dagnall then made it 2-0 when a Scotland thrashed home a powerful effort from the left side of the area after a fantastic run and pass by David Perkins.
