THREE women breaking the ballet mold are to appear at the Royal Ballet School in London next week.

Donna Hargreaves, 49, Jessica Bell, 26, and Emma Louise Roby, 23, have been rehearsing hard for a production of the Nutcracker on Monday.

The trio make up part of the 11 strong Big Ballet UK Company who starred in the Channel Four programme last year.

The programme gave ballet dancers of all shapes and sizes a chance to perform on the biggest stage.

Donna who runs a shop on Snape Hill Road, Darfield, said: "It's an amazing opportunity to showcase ourselves and drive the idea of inclusive dancing forward."

Emma, of Manor Way, Hoyland, added: "It will be the biggest thing I've been involved in because there will be so many people from the dance world there.

"It's down to us to show that everyone can dance - no matter what size you are."

Jessica, of Winfield Road, Wath, will play Queen Rat while Emma is Clara's sister and Donna will be dancing in a Spanish duet.
