Craig Davies scored four goals as Barnsley registered their first away Championship win since January with an astonishing 5-0 win over Birmingham City on Sky TV.

All the goals came between 50 and 72 minutes as the Reds produced an incredible and dominant display.

Stephen Foster gave Barnsley the lead when he tapped in a low corner from Jacob Mellis who four minutes later dispossessed Darren Ambrose and set Davies up for his first.

Davies then turned Pablo Ibanez inside out then jinked past Gary Caldwell before firing home. He made it 4-0 when Tomasz Cywka played him through with a fine pass then headed in the fifth from Chris Dagnall's cross.

Davies doubled his tally for the season to eight with a sublime performance.

Barnsley were on top in the first half but were less flowing and penetrative than at Blackburn four days earlier.

The Reds should have taken a lead but Chris Dagnall was denied by England goalkeeper Jack Butland from a tight angle, from long range then from a glorious one-one-one chance.
