TROUBLEMAKERS were responsible for 25 separate incidents of anti social behaviour in just five days in Kendray.

The figures were revealed as police and crime commissioner Dr Alan Billings and Barnsley East MP Michael Dugher met with police and councillors to discuss the problems, which has included assault and criminal damage.

There have also been reports of bins being set on fire, kids playing ‘chicken’ with buses and pressing the emergency button forcing them to stop, laying the in road to stop vehicles, throwing missiles, and intimidation.

Sgt Ian Bailey, head of a new neighbourhood policing team for Kendray, said the 25 incidents just related to calls regarding anti social behaviour at Kendray Hospital, a problem which has seen youths climbing onto a flat roof and urinating on visitors going in and out of the building.
