A FATHER and son will cycle 170 miles from coast to coast this weekend to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Scaffolder Dean Gardner, 39, and Shafton ALC pupil Leo, 12, set off from Morecambe at 7.30am this morning to ride 62 miles to Pateley Bridge in North Yorkshire on the route known as Way of the Roses.
They'll complete their next 62 miles from Pateley Bridge to Pocklington tomorrow, and finish up on Sunday with a 46 mile stretch from Pocklington to Bridlington on Sunday.
