KARL Richardson has jumped out of a plane at 15,000ft to raise money for a pal suffering from motor neurone disease.

The 42-year-old damp proofer, of Top Cliffe, Monk Bretton, wants to raise as much money as he can for the Motor Neurone Disease Association after his friend Ian Pratt was diagnosed with the debilitating disease in 2012.

MND can affect any voluntary muscle including those for walking, talking, eating and breathing and as the disease progresses, those affected require more support with even the most basic of tasks.

Karl joined 40 others in Wiltshire for the jump.
