A BARNSLEY actor is walking the Coronation Street cobbles as part of a murderous ongoing plotline.

Kendray-born Seb Shaw joined the ITV soap this week as Matt, an old friend of Andy Carver who died at the hands of killer builder Pat Phelan.

Matt is drafted in by Andy’s suspicious friend Luke to try and track his missing friend down.

Seb, real name Lee Semley, said: “It was a weird experience walking in the cobbles. That street is iconic so to walk down them and follow in the footsteps of some of the great Corrie legends made me feel very nervous but extremely proud.

“To be part of this Pat and Andy storyline was also a honour, as it’s been a long running storyline that’s been building and building to what I can imagine will be a huge climax.

“I was nervous but honoured to have been cast and get to work alongside the talented Connor McIntyre who plays Pat was such amazing experience and I learned so much from him.

“This may not be the last you see of Matt. And it’s also nice to play a good guy for a change, albeit one that’s easily manipulated - I usually get cast as baddies.”
