EIGHTY-SIX-YEAR-OLD Edward Campbell was surprised to find one of his garden plants had unusually produced 32 beautiful flowers.

Edward, of Furness Dene, Monk Bretton, said the white agapanthus, which he has had for several years, had only ever produced five heads of flowers at one time.

"I've seen it grow with about five on, but never one with 32.

"How that's happened I have no idea. I think it is quite unusual though."
