HOYLAND man Peter Holmes has been helping his taxi firm to ferry around Come Dine With Me contestants all over South Yorkshire.

Peter, 52, of Barber Street, is business development manager at Sheffield's Mercury Taxis, which has been employed by Channel 4 to drive around contestants during filming of the next series.

He said: "There were contestants from Penistone, Pontefract, Sheffield and Chesterfield but we aren't allowed to say what happened, other than watch this space.

"The TV company gave us a ring about six weeks before they needed us and then e-mailed the details. It's a nice, hassle-free contract. We know the customers are not going to be drunk or run off without paying."

The black cabs, where Come Dine With Me contestants are filmed each episode holding up their score cards for different meals, are those run by Peter's firm.
