THE long-awaited redevelopment of Hoyland town centre could finally be moving, with a public consultation planned for September.

Developers Resilienti, working on the plans for almost two years, says it would like to see some stages of the overall scheme completed before Christmas 2015 to keep shoppers in the town once the new Tesco opens.

Working behind the scenes Resilienti has been bringing together all the land interests to deliver the project and the next major milestone will be submission of a planning application.

Resilienti would also release artists' impressions of the proposed scheme along with statistics about retail space, jobs and parking.
