MORE than 400 women donned neon outfits to take part in Barnsley Hospice's Neon Night Out.

It was the eighth annual Midnight Walk - which is the hospice's biggest fundraiser of the year - though the starting time was made earlier.

Luckily the rain held off and fireworks greeted the walkers on their return to the Metrodome.

Mandy Ibbotson, Barnsley Hospice fund-raiser, said: "The night went really well and it was lovely to see such a great turn out of neon-tastic ladies ready and raring to go. We are so grateful for all the sponsorship raised from this event which enables us to provide specialist palliative care for local Barnsley people."
