ONE of Royston's biggest employers is considering pulling out of the village, threatening up to 126 jobs.

Owners of the Monckton Coking Plant, Hargreaves Services PLC, confirmed the plant is under review and is considering closure 'within this financial year'.

Spokesman Derek Christie told the Chronicle it was 'business as usual' during the review, but a statement from the firm this week said if the plant were to close during this financial year it would be 'significantly cash positive' for the firm.  ** The full story appears in the Barnsley Chronicle, dated September 5. **
