JUGGLERS, unicyclists and whip crackers invaded Kexborough when the British Juggling Convention set up camp at Darton College.

Now in its 27th year, it is the first time the event has been to the borough, with scores of people descending on the school to camp and enjoy the convention.

Some of the performers and enthusiasts even took to the streets surrounding the school to impress residents with their skills - from juggling dressed as superheroes to doing daredevil tricks on unicycles.

The convention's main juggling hall was open 24 hours a day so if anyone found themselves lying in their tents at night listening to people snore they could get up and juggle.

The British Balloon Modelling Convention also made an appearance and this year saw the addition of the Whip Cracking Convention where people could learn the age-old skill favoured by cowboys.
