Barnsley actress Katherine Kelly will return to television screens on Sunday in Mr Selfridge.

The second of the ITV series will see her reprise her role as Lady Mae Loxley alongside Jeremy Piven, as Harry Selfridge.

Based on the life of flamboyant American entrepreneur who founded the world-famous store on London’s Oxford Street in 1909, the series picks up the story in 1914 as the store celebrates its fifth anniversary.

Katherine's character in the hit show is a far cry from Becky Mcdonald, who she played in Coronation Street.

Lady Mae is a former gaiety girl turned upper class socialite following her marriage to Lord Loxley.

In the first episode, she is thrown off stride by the unexpected return to London of her husband, played Aidan McArdle, an alpha male who creates tensions and animosity at every turn and his unsettling presence threatens to drive a wedge between Harry and Lady Mae.

Katherine, 34, is expecting her first child with husband Ryan Clark in the spring.
