These ladies aren't scared to take a tumble.

They are members of the 15-strong Barnsley Black Heart Rollers, the town's first roller derby team.

The sport is made up of two teams of five, who roller skate in the same direction around a track.

Play consists of a series of short matches known as 'jams' and both teams have a scoring player, known as a jammer, who has to score points by lapping members of the other team.

The rest of the team try to hinder the opposing jammer.
