TV property expert Kirstie Allsopp spent time in Silkstone this week to help Silkstone Common couple Graeme and Anna Lowe find their dream home.
The TV presenter said: "I think to a certain extent you get a hell of a lot for your money in Yorkshire in terms of how good the countryside is and the attractions on offer.
"Out of the 15 years I've been travelling the country looking for property there was a time you came north and food wasn't so good, shops weren't so good but that's not the case any more. Now you come up here and it's sophisticated and good to look at."
