LIKE lots of little girls Jessica Townsend has always looked after her long luscious locks - but she didn't take should good care of her beautiful shiny golden hair purely for herself.

Jessica, eight, who attends Queens Road Academy, was growing it for children not as fortunate.

It was two years ago that the girl from Caxton Street, Barnsley, first had it cut off so she could donate it to the charity the Little Princess Trust, which provides real-hair wigs to boys and girls that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.

For the past two years Jessica has been patiently waiting, washing and brushing, until her hair was long enough to do it again.

She donated it through hairdresser Adele Jones.
