THERE are thousands of reasons to be Proud of Barnsley.
One of those reasons is the town's unsung heroes who do what they do not for recognition, but because they care.
If you know someone who fits the bill, then nominate them now.
There are 13 categories: carer of the year, charity fundraiser, children's champion, community group, exceptional achievement, new business start up, hospital hero, school of the year, triumph over adversity, volunteer of the year and young superstar.
Nominations can be submitted by post (contact the Chronicle for an entry form), by visiting the Proud of Barnsley website at www.barnsley-chronicle.co.uk/proudofbarnsley, or by e-mailing lynsey.bradford@barnsley-chronicle.co.uk
Included should be the nominee's name, address and contact details and a statement about why they are being nominated.
Please ask the person/group for permission to nominate them before putting them forward.
