GUIDE dog Owen goes everywhere with his owner Huw Davies - even to the gym.
Huw, 53, of Queens Way, Hoyland, is almost completely blind due to a genetic condition called retinitus pigmentosa.
But that hasn't stopped him losing almost seven stones at the Metrodome Fitness Suite - and Owen has been there every step of the way.
"I was really overweight and was huffing and puffing all the time. I slipped in a park and couldn't get up on my own. I thought it was about time I did something about time I looked after myself properly."
A former quantity surveyor, Huw started to lose his eyesight in his mid-30s.
He is helped around by a member of staff as Owen, who's been with Huw for seven years, waits patiently and is kept happy by eating treats.
