ONE of Barnsley's most iconic buildings, the Metrodome is celebrating its 25th birthday this year and bosses want to get the public involved in the celebration.

The venue has hosted some of the most prestigious sporting and business events in the region, and has welcomed famous faces such as Frank Bruno, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Tinchy Stryder and even the Queen back in 1991.

BPL, which operates the venue is calling upon all visitors past and present to help them create a timeline piecing together the events of the last 25 years.

Anyone with photos, press cuttings or any other memorabilia from the Metrodome's history should send in photos to siobhan@bpl.org.uk or via the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/MetrodomeLeisureComplex.

The BPL team would also like to hear about memories and anecdotes from parties, school trips and other events.
