TWO pals who set up a Mini club led a convoy of the classic cars from Barnsley to Brighton.
Jake Disbury, 21, and Liam Smith, 20, led the way for club members at the London to Brighton Mini Run 2014 , which is arguably the largest one make car show in the world, attracting more than 2,500 Minis.
They led the convoy of Mini enthusiasts which included David Barber, 43, of Pogmoor Lane, Pogmoor; Liam Exley, 18, of Wateroyd Drive, Dodworth; Lee Dixon, 18, of Cawthorne Close, Gilroyd, and David Secada, 33, from Manchester.
Jake, of Watson Street, Hoyland Common, has a dark blue Mini Cooper made in 2000, which is his pride and joy.
"They are great fun to drive, it's like driving a go-cart and really grips to the road," he said. "It is a quintessentially British car."
The club meets regularly with between ten and 15 people coming every week and the Facebook page now has 129 members.
