STAFF and children turned up at Brampton Cortonwood Infants school in their onesies last week.

The non-uniform day was held as part of the autism awareness week at the school.

All onesie wearers paid £1 and all money raised is being sent to the local branch of the National Autistic Society.

Headteacher Sarah Aston said: "All the staff came in with a comfortable and relaxed mood and that transferred through to the children.

"The day was a lot of fun but we also wanted to educate them about autism because it has an effect on a lot of children in a lot of schools."

The school has also been informing parents more about autism.
