WOMEN in Barnsley are missing out as shock new figures reveal how the gender pay gap has grown.
Local women still earn on average just 80p for every pound earned by men.
New analysis of Office for National Statistics figures reveal that since 2010 the pay gap has closed by just 0.1 per cent and, last year, for the first time since 2008 the pay gap didn't just stagnate, it rose.
