POLICE are appealing for information after an elderly man was left seriously injured following an attack in Goldthorpe.
The man, 73, was assaulted from behind on Market Street after leaving the Horse and Groom pub.
He fell to the ground and suffered a serious neck injury. The attacker is believed to be white, in his 20s, with a slim face. He was wearing a three-quarter length khaki army style coat.
The assault happened at 11pm on June 19.
