Barnsley celebrated their 125th anniversary with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against title favourites Blackpool at Oakwell.
The Reds took the lead on 13 minutes when Craig Davies latched onto a neat pass from the impressive Jacob Mellis to blast home from 20 yards.
Blackpool equalised when the lively Thomas Ince broke free and scored after 30 minutes.
In the second half, the best chances went to the visitors as Ince, Baptiste and Gomes all tested home stopper Ben Alnwick.
Craig Davies saw his left-footed curling strike saved by Matt Gilks.
Afterwards, Reds boss Keith Hill said: "I'm pleased with the performance and the progress we're making. It was a superb entertaining game and Blackpool did deserve a point as much as we do. In fact, both teams deserve three points after that performance.
"It was superb that the fans turned up in their numbers to celebrate the 125 anniversary and they witnessed a great game."
