Reds boss David Flitcroft swooped on transfer deadline day to sign Rory Delap and Chris O'Grady on loan until the end of the season. Young defender Andrai Jones signed an 18-month deal following his release from Bury.

Stoke City's Delap has only played once for the Premier League outfit this season. The 36-year-old utility player, known for his long throw, has previously played for Southampton, Derby and Sunderland.

Striker O'Grady, 27, is a player that the Reds have been linked with throughout the season. He has bagged six times for relegation rivals Sheffield Wednesday this season and Owls boss Dave Jones today admitted it was a risk to loan him to the Reds. O'Grady played the best football of his career under Flitcroft and Keith Hill at Rochdale.

Jones, 21, has played 21 times for Bury but was let go by Kevin Blackwell due to the Lancashire club releasing their best-paid players.
