Barnsley are bottom of the Championship after a humiliating 5-0 defeat to Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield.

Despite a bright start, poor defending cost Danny Wilson's men, who have won just once on the road in over a year.

Town opened the scoring through veteran Keith Southern on 29 minutes when the midfielder tapped in a Nahki Wells cross. It was 2-0 moments later when Danny Ward scored in similar fashion.

After the break, former Red Adam Hammill made it 3-0 and Adam Clayton scored from the penalty spot before substitute Sean Scannell's fine strike rounded off the win for the hosts, who are managed by former Barnsley boss Mark Robins.

Despite their poor showing, Barnsley are still just two points adrift of safety after other results went their way.
