Roadworks which were due to take place on Dodworth Road have been postponed due to the snow.
The work to install new water services will now start on February 18 and continue for five weeks with a one-way traffic restriction in place.
Traffic will be able to travel from the junction opposite Lancaster Street towards the Townend roundabout. A diversion will be in place along Westway, Sheffield Road, Park Road, Keresforth Hill Road and Broadway.
Lancaster Street will also be closed for five metres from the junction with Dodworth Road.
A diversion will be in place along Alma Street and Dodworth Road.
