Danny Rose’s 88th minute header earned Barnsley a 1-1 draw at Ipswich on Saturday.

The 19-year-old striker nodded home Tom Kennedy’s corner for his first league goal and his second in two weeks following his winner in the FA Cup against Burnley two weeks earlier.

In the first half, Luke Steele made good saves from Carlos Edwards and David McGoldrick and Luke Chambers missed a fine chance. At the other end, Marlon Harewood could have had a hat-trick after being through on goal three times thanks to wonderful passes by Jacob Mellis. Harewood hit the post once and sent other two wide.

The Reds had suffered a blow on 12 minutes when Stephen Dawson had to be stretchered off and Kelvin Etuhu replacedhim.

Chambers made amends for his earlier miss on 56 minutes when he finished powerfully after the Reds failed to clear a corner.

Harewood missed several further chances and Dagnall also should have scored before Rose netted.
