The Dearne Valley Bulldogs rugby league team has started putting on training sessions for youngsters aged three to six.
The Ings Lane-based club is targeting youngsters from the area to become Dearne Valley Pups.
"It's been going three weeks so far and the minimum we've had has been 15 which is really encouraging," said coach Danny Easton."Now it's warming up we are expecting more to come along but we can cater for even more."
The taster rugby league sessions on Tuesday evenings are building towards setting up an under seven side next season.
A girls' side would also be welcomed and parents interested are encouraged to contact the club for more information.
