A SALON is looking for people to donate hair to make wigs for children who have lost their hair to chemotherapy.

Adele Jones Hairdressing Salon, on Eldon Street North, would like people to get in touch now, ready for the 'big chop', in June.

Stylist Leah Roebuck, 17, of Gledhill Avenue, Penistone, said: "It's our tenth anniversary this summer and we decided to hold a big charity event to make it special, and we've decided to raise money for the Little Princesses Trust, which provides wigs to children with cancer.

"We'd ideally like five people to give seven inches of hair each."

The volunteers will have their hair cut at the main charity event on June 16.
