Is this the ultimate present any young buccaneer could wish for?

Ex-military man Chris Willett has converted a 26ft fishing boat into the perfect pirate play ship for his two-year-old son Caleb.

The 43-year-old, of New Laithe Farm, Upper Denby, said: "I had been researching how to make a pirate ship for some time but all the models I saw online looked tacky so I thought: 'Why not build my own?'"

Former Queen's Guard Chris bought the old boat in Cornwall and has spent four months converting it with friends and his father-in-law Jeff Griffiths.

The completed ship includes a captain's cabin, cannons, access to the hull and a mast topped with a skull and crossbones.
