ICED tea took on a whole new meaning when this sweet teapot won a gold award in a top competition.
Shafton woman Tina Heron, 54, whipped up the delicious delight for the Cake International Fair in Manchester and waltzed off with the top prize.
Wheelchair user Tina, of Hazledene Road, spent 100 hours crafting the cute teapot full of scabious and sweet pea blooms. It was put forward in the flower arrangement class.
Tina said: "Competition work takes time as everything has to be perfect. You have quite a lot of breakages as well when you are putting your design together."
Tina has been involved in sugarcraft for two years and got into it when a friend asked her to decorate a wedding cake.
Tina said: "I do a lot of googling to get ideas for designs. I saw a similar idea with a cup and saucer but in the Manchester competition I was limited to a particular size.
"I don't work due to my disability so I can spend a lot of time on it."
