A TEENAGER from Barnsley is one of two skating stars who have been chosen to perform alongside professionals as part of the Disney on Ice tour.
Billy Wilson-French, 14, from Royston, will appear in the Fit To Dance pre-show for Disney On Ice at the FlyDSA Arena in Sheffield.
Billy and his co-star, Eleanor Hayes from Sheffield, will be the first non-permanent cast members to join the stars on ice as part of a Disney on Ice performance.
Having wowed judges during the audition process, Billy will attend a training session with the cast where he’ll be put through his paces ahead of his star turn on Friday.
Billy has represented Great Britain in skating competitions and won the British Solo Dance Advance Novice Men’s title earlier this year.
He said: “I’m really excited to be skating in Disney On Ice at FlyDSA in Sheffield, as it’s one of my goals. I want to compete at the World Championships and Olympic Games and then travel the world performing with Disney On Ice.”
