TWO people had to be cut free from their cars following a collision in Worsbrough.
The incident was reported last Wednesday at about 12.10pm on Park Road, at the junction with Kingwell Road.
A police spokeswoman said two vehicles were involved, a white Ford C-Max and a silver Ford Mondeo.
She said the drivers suffered minor injuries and the road had to be closed from the junction with Kingwell Road to the junction with Vernon Road. It reopened at 1.40pm.
A fire and rescue spokeswoman said three fire engines attended, one from Elm Lane and two others from Tankersley and Barnsley. The crews left at about 1.15pm.
We have been at the heart of our community, every week, since 1858. The town and its people have changed dramatically since then but the Chronicle has been a constant.
It’s our belief that news should be available to everyone regardless of their circumstance. But we need a little helping hand to do so.
Production Editor, Ashley Ball, said: "In an ever changing media world, it’s important that news is reported correctly and without any hidden agenda.
Your support allows us to keep holding decision-makers to account and report on everything that happens in the town, good or bad, fairly."
