People who face discrimination or prejudice in their lives are being asked to come forward to become 'books' for a human library.
Barnsley library is running the event on October 10 and organisers are encouraging people to come forward and consider being a 'book' to be 'loaned out' for conversations about their experiences.
A Barnsley Council spokesman said those wanted to come forward to be a 'book' are people who face discrimination or prejudice, for example because of their disability, sexual orientation, race or age.
Coun Jenny Platts said: "I hope people who do become a human book find the experience to be of use. There are sure to be benefits for both books and borrowers."
Sessions will run from 11am-2pm and 4-6pm. Anyone interested in becoming a book should contact Julian Horsler on 787638, or Jill Craven on 773921.
