Barnsley's Under 18 academy side will now face Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup fifth round after an entertaining 4-3 win against Stevenage at Oakwell on Friday night.
The Young Reds raced into a 3-0 lead in the first 30 minutes following goals from Rhys Oates, Omari Alexander-Salmon and George Maris. Stevenage pulled one back before the break to make it 3-1.
In the second half, the visitors dominated and played some brilliant football and it was soon 3-2 before a Brad Abbott penalty put Barnsley back in the lead.
Stevenage did grab a late consolation but it was too little too late and Barnsley will now go on to face holders Chelsea on February 9. The winners of that game will face a trip to Derby or Manchester City.
