A LOCAL garage owner is offering a reward of up to £1,000 for information leading to the arrest of men who burgled his business.

Michal Mankowski, who owns Alpha Garage on Doncaster Road, was alerted to the burglary at 9am on Saturday when he saw police on his CCTV cameras.

The 37-year-old said: “I was just about to head to the garage when I decided to check the cameras on my phone, that’s when I saw the police were outside.

“They managed to get in through another building which isn’t occupied, and then broke through the shutters.

“They stole about £1,000 in tools and used one of the cars in the garage to escape.”

The police recovered the car near Worsbrough Mill, but his tools were not found inside - leading Michal to believe that they were dropped off somewhere between Kendray and Worsbrough.

“It’s really annoying that this has happened at such a hard time for everyone,” he told the Chronicle.

“I’m offering a reward of up to £1,000 for people who can give me information leading to the arrest of the people who did this.

“I’m more than happy to spend that kind of money if it means these people get locked up.”
