A MASSIVE 192 bags of clothes which no longer fit have been donated for charity by members of a slimming club.

Slimming World members were asked to fill special bags of clothes which no longer fit due to their weight loss, and take them along to Dodworth’s Holiday Inn on Saturday.

Slimming World consultant Christine Melhuish said she was overwhelmed by the response.

“It ended up being a logistical nightmare, but I was really impressed with the amount of support,” said Christine, 52, of St Austell Drive, Barugh Green.

“To get 192 bags was just fantastic. One lady alone brought 13 bags.

“We had to rally the troops to get it all moved, but we ended up with a mini-van and four car loads.”

All the donations go to Cancer Research UK. Slimming World nationally raised £3.3m for the charity last year.
