MEMORIES has received a photograph from Michael White, who lives in France, of pupils who attended Barnsley Grammar School in the 1950s.

He was one of the pupils on the photograph taken 50 years ago.

"Most of us will now be 64 or 65-year-old, scattered throughout the world, no doubt.

"It occurs to me, however, that one or two may wish to get in touch. Some of us have already done so and, therefore, a small network exists on which to work."

He gives an assurance that no letters or e-mail details will be released and he is willing to pass letters on where requested.

Several former classmates already meet at the Barnsley Grammar School Old Boys' dinner held on the first Friday of the New Year, so Mr White is hoping the usual number of five or six pupils in contact will increase.
