Barnsley will make their return to the Championship at home on the weekend of August 3, with their first away game at Sheffield Wednesday's Hillsborough a week later. 

The first game will be a big one for Barnsley's former Fulham striker Cauley Woodrow while the Cottagers have ex Reds captain Alfie Mawson. 

They face Leeds United at home on September 14 then away on April 18 while the home game with Wednesday is on February 8. 

Christmas week sees them visit Millwall on Saturday, December 21 before welcoming West Bromwich Albion on Boxing Day and then making another long trip to Swansea City on December 29 and visiting Derby County on New Year's Day. 

Over the Easter weekend, Barnsley are due to visit Luton Town on Good Friday then host Wigan Athletic on Bank Holiday Monday.

The season is due to end with a trip to Brentford on May 2.  

The EFL Cup first round draw is due to take place this evening.
