Barnsley FC are on course to sell their highest number of season tickets in 20 years for the upcoming 2019/20 Championship season.
The newly-promoted Reds are closing in on 10,000 season ticket sales and expect to pass that number by the time the campaign begins in August.
The last time the club sold 10,000 season tickets was in 1999 so Oakwell could be set for some of its biggest attendances in the 21st century.
Fans have been keen to secure a seat at the ground which has not witnessed a home league defeat since March 2018, with Daniel Stendel’s Reds going through the 2018/19 League One campaign unbeaten at home.
